In 1889 Muybridge used Zoo gyroscope to photograph moving images of sport.
With Edison joined Zoo gyroscope with the photographers.

He used a series of cameras triggered by electro magnets, to try and prove how horses galloped - weather their hooves left the ground or not the image proves that they did.

The bottom left hand photograph proves that the feet leaves the ground.
