3D Wire Sculptor

This is my 3D wire sculptor I think it's my best one for a wire sculptor because is looks simple but interesting. The sculptor has a kinetic movement because it moves like a bobble head. Theirs barley any black marks from the spot weld.

Book Design

3 Point Shoot
This is my book design I did mine on basketball as you can tell, the background is a basketball to show the grip what I think is quite interesting. The font of the tittle took some time to do, to try and make it pop out at you but if i had more time I would of made it chalk dust because of what you see on the blackboard for the strategy on games.
The basketball and sneakers I went through a couple of filters before I decide to use the oil paints because it was the best look one especially with the background.

Photography

This is a Fine Art Photo I the tone of the picture and the reflection in the eyes, the composition I picked this because this is its different.

I like this its just something about it whats interesting but its still a Fine Art Photograph.

This is a Photojournalism picture I like this by the emotion the thing what the photographer did was called The Golden eye.

This one is a Photojournalism but the composition is main point what I like in this picture.

Fine Art Photograph is where you go to Galleries
Photojournalism is what are newspapers

I think I am more of a Fine Art Photographer because I like the fact where you can change the photographs on Photoshop.

filters for the book in graphics

I got a picture of a basketball and some trainers and went on to filters and gone to stylised and went to solarise to try it out. i think it looks quite dull. if the green where brighter it would of been better. I decide to try the filter called tiles.

This is the one with the added tiles on I think this is more of a improvement than the last one because you get a better tone in this one than just with solarise so i prefer this one. I adjusted the settings on the tiles to 99 on each of the numbers thing.

This one is very simple but effective by the shine on the basketball.

Michelangelo

Michelangelo's worked as a sculptor, architect and painter. He offered his own unique insight into how the artist worked through his drawings.

Michelangelo focused on the male body. His models were posed to express their feelings; (happy, mad, sad and lonely.) He was prominent in Roman art for over forty years.

Michelangelo destroyed a large amount of his drawings before he died because he did not want his work to go on to public display.

I like this because of of the tone it shapes the body and show the different muscle groups the one thing what I think is ruined the image is the dark black stomach it makes the model look like its seriously ill.
The expression of the model makes out that he/she is scared running away from a life crisis

Charles Bird King

Charles Bird King, an artist hired by the Office of Indian Affairs to paint portraits of Native American dignitaries visiting the U.S. Capital. F.O.C. Darley showed an idealized pioneer family in the hand-colored lithograph, “Emigrants Crossing the Plains.”

I like this because of the bright colours it blends into each other; he used a mixture of primary and secondary colours and some tertiary colours. All of the colors are soft colours except the feathers on top of his head.

Graphics portraits

I like this because the style of the artist is really good, the angles in the portraits are some smooth and some are sharp but i am considering doing it for my cover.

Pablo Lobato
i like this because its a portrait but also a cartoon that what i massively like i would properly fuses it with jorn kaspuhla.

Julian Obie

I like this as well because the is something about it by the half of it being coloured and the other being drawn.

this makes an impact but it being black and white.
This is the other one what I have thought of fusing it with the Pablo Lobato.
i dont like this one I think if it was me i would make giant improvements. When you put this image on a black background it makes the image look more interesting.

Gaphiic

Starting Point

This is my drawing of a horse skull a manikin and a manikin's head. I did a pencil drawing. When i was scanning the DPI  was 150, so when i got onto photoshop I change the image size so it could be a smaller memory. I didn't cropped the image because i thought it work well together.

This is the original photoshoped with out filters but i used layers, paint and changing one of the different layer to purple then i made it transparent.

This is one of my filtered piece, The filter was called mosaic i thought it would be good to use a texture and i think it worked out quite well. I like this because when you look in the mouth the a two tone even with out the texture but it improves it.

Another one with a filter but a different filter called Dark Strokes ( balance 5, black strokes 7 and white strokes is 4.) The image also looks like it got a misty effect what improves the image.

It's a Smudge effect on photoshop but it a similar to the dark strokes but still makes a impact. you can tell it's smudges but the only thing that ruins it is the yellow bit near the manikins head.

I was told do a stamp but i don't know how to do it.

To Screenshot on a mac you press cmd ( command) shift and 3

Still life drawings

this was the object what i draw from

This is my drawings from my hands what looks right with the shading near the bottom of the handcs

This is the object what i drawn from

This is my drawing i was trying to draw a shaded piece with the right amount on detail what i thought it would look like. I could of shaded more parts to have it more 3D

Evaulation For Still Life

For my still life and observational drawings I used pencil in my book and I used acrylic paint what was thin out by using water the reason why I did was because the colours was too strong for the background on a piece of paper, I also used a media what was like charcoal. The visional language where, line horizontal line, colour the primary colours, tone darkness to lightness, composition where I felt it should go.

For my photography I used a camera to take pictures with different apertures to explore depth of field and rules of third to assist the composition of the image

Lino prints I used a rubbery tile to carve with a sharp tool, what created texture and tone. I produced prints onto paper and fabric with oil based paint, some of the prints came out quite good but the one of them came out with too much paint what went into the carving what turn the print too bubbly.

Paper bird skulls I used paper what I rolled into a tight roll so I could structured it into a 3D bird skull I painted it with white matte paint so it will look more like a drawing. With the visual language I had line, colour and some texture.

Plaster Cast I used some of my own objects what was great for impressions like a some dog tags with all the beads it was a great texture. After I did the impressions I put the plaster onto my clay tile so the plaster could get into the impression to create a 3D mould.

Weaving/Sewing I produce a still life drawing in a stitch form using a sewing machine the colours what I used where purple because I prefer that colour. For weaving I used a loom what created a colourful weave with reds, blues and some dark reds it also created a pattern with the different layers.

The contextual references where provided by my subject tutors who encourage me to look at the visual language what have been used in my work.

I have used a range of research methods including books, Internet, journeys and gallery visits. Looking at images in books, journeys and the Internet it isn’t the same as seeing it in a gallery. Being in a gallery you is able to see the texture, detail and also size.  Journeys are useful because they are more modern and up to date, some books aren’t. Using the Internet the information what use might not be accurate or might be temporary.

The difference the primary and secondary research is primary is your own picture what you taken yourself and work what I have produce and secondary research is what been taken of the Internet someone else’s work.

I experimented with different media to produce a range of work, I did shading to try and making it 3D, I’ve watered down acrylic paint to get the right opacity for the foreground and the background.

The technical skills what have improved have understood more of Photoshop, cameras, and sewing machines.

I have learned a new skill and that is using the looms.

Still life painting

1st Stage
this is my 1st stage where you can see the depth  in the skull.
                                                              2nd Stage
this is 2nd stage where I focus on the background and the other skull.

this is final stage where a put ther highlights and the tints in all of the objects.

Smooth texture. It’s   light, mid and dark tone in the angles of the sculpture.
